Privacy Policy
Last updated: 4 November 2026
Chlo's Pampered Pooches ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use our website or book a groom, why we collect it, how we look after it and the rights you have over it.
Who we are
Chlo's Pampered Pooches is a dog grooming salon at 7 Wickford Close, Romford, RM3 9SD. We are the data controller for the personal information described in this policy. If you have any questions, email info@chlospamperedpooches.co.uk or call +44 7720 532415.
The information we collect
When you send a booking request, we collect:
- your name, email address and phone number
- your dog's name, breed and (if you choose to give it) date of birth
- the service, date and time you'd like
- anything you tell us in the message box, such as your dog's temperament, grooming history or health concerns
When you contact us by email, phone or social media, we keep the details you give us so we can reply.
When you visit our website, some technical information is collected automatically, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you view. Analytics information is only collected if you accept analytics cookies. See our cookie policy for details.
How and why we use your information
Data protection law requires us to have a lawful basis for using your information. We use it:
- To deal with your booking request and provide our grooming services, including confirming appointments, suggesting other times and contacting you about your dog's groom. This is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract with you, and to carry out that contract.
- To groom your dog safely, using what you tell us about their health, behaviour and needs. This is part of providing the service you've asked for.
- To answer your questions and keep a record of our conversations. This is in our legitimate interests of running our business and looking after our customers.
- To protect our website and booking form from spam and abuse, using Google reCAPTCHA. This is in our legitimate interests of keeping our website secure.
- To understand how our website is used so we can improve it, using analytics. We only do this with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time using Cookie settings at the bottom of any page.
- To meet our legal obligations, for example keeping financial records.
We will never sell your information or use it for marketing without your permission.
Who we share your information with
We only share your information with trusted service providers who help us run our business. They may only use it to provide their service to us:
| Provider | What they do for us |
|---|---|
| WebProud | Builds, hosts and maintains our website and email, and provides WebProud Analytics (only with your consent) |
| Google reCAPTCHA | Checks booking requests come from a real person, not a spam bot |
| Google Analytics | Measures how visitors use our website (only with your consent) |
| Google Maps | Shows our location on the contact section of our website |
We may also share information if the law requires us to, or to protect the safety of a person or animal.
Some of Google's services may process information outside the UK, including in the United States. Where this happens, Google uses safeguards approved under UK data protection law, such as the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses. You can read more in Google's privacy policy.
Social media
Our website links to our Facebook and Instagram pages. If you follow those links or message us there, Meta's own privacy policy applies to the information they collect.
How long we keep your information
- Booking requests that don't go ahead: up to 12 months, in case you get back in touch.
- Customer records: for as long as you're a customer, and up to 2 years after your dog's last appointment.
- Financial records: 6 years, as required by HMRC.
- Analytics data: kept by the analytics provider for up to 14 months.
After this, we securely delete your information.
How we keep your information safe
Our website uses an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, and booking requests are sent to a password-protected business mailbox. Only the people who need your information to look after your booking can access it.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:
- access the personal information we hold about you
- ask us to correct information that is wrong or incomplete
- ask us to delete your information
- ask us to restrict how we use your information
